The summer school holidays are the hardest weeks of the year to park at Brussels Airport. Everyone is flying in the same fortnight, the official car parks fill early, and the prices reflect it. None of that is a surprise, but a lot of travellers still end up booking in the last few days and paying for it twice: once in money and once in stress on the morning of the flight.
A little planning removes most of that. Here is what actually matters.
Book earlier than you think you need to
In quiet months you can leave parking until the week before and still find a reasonable rate. In July that is not true. The cheapest spaces go first, and by the time you are inside the final week you are choosing from whatever is left.
Book your parking at the same time you book your flight. It takes two minutes and it is the single biggest saving available to you.
If your dates are already fixed, there is no advantage in waiting. Prices do not fall as the date approaches, and availability only narrows.
Add time to your morning, not just your budget
Summer mornings at Brussels Airport are slower than the rest of the year. Security queues are longer, drop-off zones are busier, and the roads around the airport carry more traffic than usual.

Summer trips tend to be longer than the weekend breaks people take in spring and autumn. That changes which parking option makes sense.
For a fortnight away, the daily rate matters far more than the convenience of being fifty metres closer to the terminal. Long-stay parking at a private car park with a shuttle is usually the better value once you pass roughly a week.
Check what is included before you compare prices
A headline price is only useful if it covers the same things. Before comparing two car parks, check whether the shuttle is included for every passenger, whether larger vehicles cost more, and what happens if your return flight is delayed.
Delays are more common in summer than at any other time of year, so the return policy is worth reading properly rather than skimming.
